Landair Receives Platinum National Safety Award – 2nd Year in a Row

Great West Casualty Company presented Landair with a Platinum Award for preventable DOT reportable accidents in 2013.  The National Safety Awards program drew over 675 participants.  The Platinum Award is the highest award presented that reflects the year end preventable accident results.  This is the 4th consecutive year that Landair has received a platinum award for safety performance.

“This achievement is a reflection of Landair’s corporate culture which is characterized by ensuring driver’s safety through educating drivers beyond the training phase,” said John Tweed, President of Landair.  Gary Funk emphasizes the importance of daily communications with drivers in order to reiterate safe practices and prevent complacencies on the road.
